Curly Redwood Shower with Custom Tile

This is one of my favorite projects. In an enjoyable collaboration with the designer, my creative license was employed in a way that typical modern homebuilding shies away from. Although there is a satisfaction in building things that are plumb, square, and true, incorporating those criteria with irregular edges and natural curves truly inspires me. I would like to see more of this natural feel in modern building. That requires selecting local, natural materials, and a desire, willingness, and artistic talent to achieve.
